Friends there are few topics or concepts in this world which have always remained surrounded by several mysteries and confusions. No one exactly knows about such topics, but still everyone has a viewpoint on the same. Most of the times people presents such concepts in such a complex and mysterious manner that an ordinary person, simply surrenders and say that these things are not meant for me or it’s beyond my understanding or many may even say that I don’t believe in all these things. Kundalini power is one such topic. Even the people who claim to be an expert on this topic are actually bounded in various complex jargon’s or terminology without understanding the real essence of Kundalini power. Few experts wrongly relate their so called mystic experiences to Kundalini power.
So if you fall under any of the category mentioned above, then you must DEFINITELY read this article. This article, if read with great concentration and focus, has the POWER to COMPLETELY ALTER the way you live your life. Your complete mindset or perception towards life will change and those of you who have read my 100’s of articles, watched my videos, know very well that, by lord’s grace your friend Nikhil has never made a false claim.
In my previous 2 articles, I have covered another such complex topic i.e. Yuga cycle related calculations and in this article your friend Nikhil is going to remove all the dust and smoke surrounding the topic of Kundalini power.
I promise all of you that after reading this article, you all will have a complete understanding about this topic of Kundalini Power without any confusion whatsoever. Not only this, during my explanation, I will not even use one technical word, so that all of you could follow all my words through mere common sense. Yes, I know that even common sense is not very common in every common man but I have a different take on this. Actually we all have enough common sense but because we all love to make things mysterious and complex, that’s why our common sense does not get a chance to blossom.
Anyways let’s come to the point and begin our process of understanding. So all of you; please get ready to dive in the world of mystery along with your friend Nikhil.
This world is functioning or running or moving because in every corner of the world, some or the other activity or karma is happening. Any activity or karma requires some energy. If that energy is used in a constructive manner then it will create something and if that energy is destructive in nature then it will destroy something. You may be a cook, a plumber, a carpenter, a player, a politician, police, an engineer, a writer, a scientist, a doctor, an artist, a lawyer, a judge, an astrologer, an anchor, a cleaner, a criminal or a gangster etc, everybody is creating or destroying something every moment using his/her energy or kundalini power.
In short, all of us are using our Kundalini power every moment and this process will end only with our death.
Basically, we all are having this kundalini power and using it too. In the absence of this kundalini power, we cannot even move a pin BUT few people use this power to do or accomplish GREAT or BIG tasks in life. In short, through this very power, when a person acquires greatest possible skill set in their field, then he or she can achieve great fame or great power or great wealth in their respective fields. On the other hand, if someone do not use this power for any good purpose or is wasting this power by getting involved into unnecessary activities, then he/she will lead a completely insignificant life.
Let’s take an example, suppose you wish to become a great singer. For this, you keep learning and practicing singing skills everyday for 2 hours. What will happen if you will keep doing this consistently for many years or many decades? Simple, slowly and steadily, your kundalini power will help you to achieve greatness in the skill or art of singing. The same is true for any skill which you wish to master.
Through this kundalini power not only can we achieve great fame or great power or great wealth but even a new life could also be created.
To understand this deeply, let take an example. Process of intercourse (when the male semen gets merged with the female egg), has the ability to give birth to a new life. Creation of a life is the most complex, beautiful or a magical process fueled by kundalini power. No creation in this world can match the creation of a new life. Now imagine even an ordinary human being has the kundalini power which enables him/her to participate in the process of creating a new life physically.
But still, does an ordinary human being actually realize that he/she is doing a magic by creating a new life through their kundalini power? This realization does not happen because there is no mystery or confusion surrounding this fact.
Actually, the main problem starts from here only because even after knowing everything, 99% of the people know nothing.
Things, circumstances and people which do not have a mystery associated with them, we human beings do not feel or understand the greatness of those things, circumstances and people. Keep a hand on your heart and tell me, do we really realize or appreciate the importance of the most simplistic aspects of our life, like sunshine, air, water, earth, open sky, love and support of people closest to us. Answer is no, Why? Because there is no mystery or confusion surrounding these 5 elements or around the people who love and support you. Therefore we take them for granted. On the other hand, we immediately get attracted by some mystery, wealth, fame, power, magic, sex and all luxurious or expensive things which are actually not permanent. That’s why I said above we all love to make things mysterious and complex, because of which our common sense does not get a chance to blossom.
In short, the most beautiful, the most divine and the most important (things/circumstances/people) are so simple, clear and apparent, that we fail to recognize or appreciate their importance and that’s why people get trapped into the web of suffering, pains, mysteries and confusions. Instead of focusing on the most precious aspects of life, we all keep running after something which is controlled by our materialistic desires.
Anyways, in the simplest words, the energy which has the power to create or destroy is known as kundalini power.
Apart from achieving great fame, great power, great wealth and creating a new life, this Kundalini power even has the ability to award you with the most precious gift of Moksha or Enlightenment.
But the question arise, that from where this kundalini power is originating or what is the source of this power?
From this point, most of the confusion starts.
- As per shaiva tantra, it is a form of divine feminine energy (i.e. Parvati or Adi parashakti or Bhairavi or Kubjika) believed to be located at the base of the spine.
- As per another view, this energy in the body, when cultivated and awakened through tantric practice, is believed to lead to spiritual liberation.
- Others believe that awakening of kundalini energy happens through regular practice of Mantra, Tantra, Yantra, Asanas or Meditation
- As per few, it is the power that brings into manifestation the body, breath, and experiences of pleasure and pain, with the power of sexuality as the source of reproduction.
Now all these views are correct in their own respect but a common man gets confused, bewildered as well as fascinated after reading such definitions. That’s why I stated in the very beginning that I will not use even one such technical term during my explanation.
Therefore, your friend Nikhil is now going to pull you out from all these difficult terminologies and will let you know about the actual source of this Kundalini power.
Have you ever wondered by why in Astrology our birth chart is called as Kundli. Simple, because whatever constructive or destructive energies we have, the source of all that energy is our 9 planets namely Jupiter, Venus, Mars, Moon, Rahu, Sun, Saturn, Mercury and Ketu. So basically the COMBINED ENERGY OF ALL THE 9 PLANETS which decide each and every moment of our life is actually the source of our Kundalini energy. Through Vedic Astrology, an Astrologer like me studies the effects of those 9 planets only.
Crux of the matter is that the more powerful your birth chart or kundli would be, the more kundalini power you will be having and the more fame, power, wealth, influence etc you will experience in your life. From another perspective, the strength or auspiciousness of our planets depends on our karmas. So, the more our karmas are aligned with the path of dharma, the more auspicious our planets would get and the more constructive kundalini energy we would experience.
And now, my dear friends, we have arrived at a very important bridge.
If Kundalini Power is the energy or potential through which we create, develop, master and express capability, then we should be able to identify the different forms in which that capability appears.
That is exactly what the next part of this article is about.
Now if you do not know how to read your birth chart or kundli to understand the level of your kundalini power, then either you can take the help of an Astrologer like me or you may keep reading this article, to yourself judge or ascertain the intensity of kundalini power which you actually possess.
In easy language, if you have following listed qualities in your personality, then you can assume that you have a great kundalini power. Greater the intensity of these listed qualities and the more number of these listed qualities you have in your personality, the greater would be the level of your kundalini power.

My dear friends, do not treat this checklist merely as a list of impressive qualities. It is not meant to flatter your ego. It is meant to make you look at yourself honestly. You may be very intelligent but lack patience. You may be courageous but lack restraint. You may be wealthy but lack contentment. You may be influential but lack humility.
And this is exactly why the ancient framework of Asht Siddhi and Nava Nidhi becomes such a beautiful extension of Kundalini Energy.
The checklist tells us what constructive human potential can look like, further the Asht Siddhi encapsulates all that into a deeper map of the capabilities that develop within the human instrument. And the Nava Nidhi takes us one step further i.e. into what that developed capability can create, access, experience and ultimately distill into.
If Kundalini Power is the energy through which human beings create, act, learn, practice, build, influence and transform, then the natural next question is: through the careful, systematic and precise use of Kundalini energy, how all the qualities listed above can be acquired and developed in 8 major sequential steps i.e. Asht siddhi and what happens when this human instrument becomes exceptionally developed?
Now, your friend Nikhil is taking you many levels deeper, so be prepared for the explosion of knowledge.

PART I — THE ASHT SIDDHI
The traditional eight Siddhis are:
- Anima — becoming extremely small
- Mahima — becoming extremely large
- Laghima — becoming extremely light
- Garima — becoming extremely heavy
- Prapti — reaching or obtaining what one seeks
- Prakamya — fulfilment of one’s will or intention
- Ishitva — mastery or sovereignty
- Vashitva — influence or control
These descriptions become much more meaningful when understood psychologically.
They describe eight fundamental capabilities required for a powerful and complete human being.
1. ANIMA — THE POWER TO BECOME SMALL
Your friend Nikhil would put this very simply: real strength is not always about making your presence bigger. Indeed it is about making your ego quieter.
ANIMA is governed by SUN
Anima is the ability to become extremely small. People think its a supernatural power to reduce one’s physical size, but reality is completely different. None of the Asht siddhis has anything to do with physical body, but this materialistic world does not allow anyone to see beyond the physicality. It actually represents the ability to reduce the dominance of the ego. We humans easily gets fascinated by miracles and in the process we forget even Lord Hanuman wants to convey this message only. The Sun represents identity, individuality, self-hood and the sense of “I”. Therefore, Anima is not simply humility. It is the conscious ability to say:
“I CAN BECOME SMALLER THAN MY EGO.”
A person may be made small by circumstances, failure or deprivation. That is different from consciously reducing the dominance of one’s ego. True power does not require constant self-display. The person who can step back, listen, observe, remain unnoticed when necessary and allow the situation to take center stage possesses a deeper form of strength.
Anima is conscious humility and mastery over the excessive expression of the ego.
2. MAHIMA — THE POWER TO BECOME GREAT
Now we move to the opposite movement. Dear friend, life will repeatedly ask you to grow beyond the version of yourself that feels comfortable. Healthy expansion is not the same thing as showing off.
MAHIMA is governed by RAHU
Mahima is the ability to become enormous. Again it has nothing to do with enormous physical size instead, It actually represents the ability to expand beyond previous limitations. This is where Rahu becomes the natural planetary archetype. Rahu represents: more → further → beyond → unknown → unprecedented. Rahu is the principle that refuses to remain confined by existing boundaries.
Therefore:
Mahima is the ability to expand beyond what previously appeared possible. It expands vision, ambition, presence, influence and reach. This is different from Jupiter. Jupiter expands through wisdom, knowledge and meaningful growth. Rahu expands by crossing boundaries.
Thus:
JUPITER = MEANINGFUL EXPANSION
RAHU = BOUNDARY-BREAKING EXPANSION
Anima and Mahima therefore create the first great lesson: First reduce the dominance of the ego. Then expand beyond your limitations.
ANIMA + MAHIMA — THE INTELLIGENCE OF SCALE
Friends, you do not have to behave the same way in every situation. Wisdom knows when to become subtle and when to stand tall. One of the most powerful symbols associated with Lord Hanuman is his ability to become extremely small and extremely large. This carries a profound lesson. When entering Lanka, Lord Hanuman becomes subtle and inconspicuous. When confronted by enormous opposition, he can become immense and commanding. This has nothing to do with his physical body as generally assumed. It represents situational intelligence. A person who behaves “big” in every situation is not necessarily powerful. True power is the ability to consciously change one’s psychological and social scale according to circumstances:
HUMBLE → SUBTLE → OBSERVANT → ASSERTIVE → COMMANDING
Knowing when to become small and when to become large is itself a form of mastery.
ANIMA + MAHIMA = THE ABILITY TO ADJUST YOUR PSYCHOLOGICAL AND SOCIAL PRESENCE TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE SITUATION.
3. LAGHIMA — THE POWER OF LIGHTNESS
Pause here for a moment. How much are you carrying that you no longer need to carry? Not every disappointment, memory or expectation deserves permanent space in your mind.
LAGHIMA is governed by MOON
Laghima is the ability to become extremely light. Again its nowhere related to reducing the physical weight as generally perceived, on the contrary it represents freedom from unnecessary emotional and mental weight. The Moon governs the inner emotional world—feelings, memories, attachments and psychological responses. Therefore Laghima represents:
- freedom from emotional baggage
- freedom from unnecessary attachment
- mental lightness
- adaptability
- the ability to release psychological heaviness
It is the ability to say:
“I DO NOT HAVE TO CARRY EVERYTHING WITH ME.” This is what allows a person to move through changing circumstances without becoming psychologically trapped by them.
4. GARIMA — THE POWER TO CARRY WEIGHT
And now, dear friends, we learn the opposite lesson. Some responsibilities are worth carrying because they make us stronger, steadier and more trustworthy.
GARIMA is governed by SATURN
Garima is the ability to become extremely heavy. Its simply not related to increasing the physical weight as generally believed, instead its deeper human meaning is gravitas, stability, responsibility and endurance. Saturn represents:
- weight
- discipline
- responsibility
- patience
- endurance
- duty
- consequences
- grounding
Garima therefore represents: “I CAN CARRY GREAT RESPONSIBILITY/DUTY WITHOUT BEING CRUSHED BY IT.” Life does not only require the ability to achieve emotional freedom. It also requires the ability to become heavy when responsibility demands it.
Laghima and Garima therefore form another essential balance:
LAGHIMA — RELEASE UNNECESSARY EMOTIONAL WEIGHT.
GARIMA — CARRY NECESSARY EMOTIONAL WEIGHT.
5. PRAPTI — THE POWER TO REACH
Ask yourself: when you need something important, do you know how to reach it? Resourcefulness can be more valuable than simply possessing resources.
PRAPTI is governed by MERCURY
Prapti means reaching or obtaining what one seeks. Normal humans beings generally feels that Prapti should mean that whatever a person wants should appear magically in front of him or her but again, people should come out of their fantasy and understand Its deeper meaning. It is the ability to reach the person, information, knowledge, resource, opportunity or circumstance that is required. Mercury represents the practical mechanisms through which this becomes possible:
- communication
- information
- networking
- negotiation
- calculation
- connections
- adaptability
- movement
- practical intelligence
Therefore:
PRAPTI = KNOWING HOW TO REACH WHAT IS REQUIRED. It is not merely having resources. It is knowing how to find them. Please note understanding true meaning of Asht Siddhi is not a child’s play that anyone can understand easily, you need to dive very deep for such great knowledge.
6. PRAKAMYA — THE POWER TO EXECUTE
This is where many good intentions quietly fail. My friend, knowing is beautiful, planning is useful, but action is what changes reality.
PRAKAMYA is governed by MARS
Prakamya represents the fulfilment of intention or will. Its essential principle is: INTENTION → ACTION → ACHIEVEMENT. Mars provides the courage, initiative, energy and execution required to turn an internal decision into an external result. A person may know what is needed. A person may even know how to obtain it. But without the ability to act, nothing changes.
Therefore:
PRAKAMYA IS THE POWER TO TURN INTENTION INTO ACTION. Mars makes things happen.
7. ISHITVA — THE POWER OF SELF-MASTERY
Friends, if you can command everyone except yourself, you have not yet discovered the highest form of mastery. First govern your own mind, impulses and direction.
ISHITVA is governed by JUPITER
Ishitva represents mastery and sovereignty. Its highest expression is not domination over others. It is mastery over oneself. Jupiter represents wisdom, higher understanding, discrimination and the Guru principle. Therefore:
ISHITVA = “I UNDERSTAND MYSELF SUFFICIENTLY TO GOVERN MYSELF.” Mars gives the ability to act. Jupiter gives the wisdom to understand what should be done. That is a higher form of power. The mature individual does not merely possess willpower. He possesses the wisdom to govern that willpower.
8. VASHITVA — THE POWER OF INFLUENCE
Your friend Nikhil would remind you: the strongest person in the room is not necessarily the loudest. Often it is the person whose presence makes cooperation feel natural.
VASHITVA is governed by VENUS
Vashitva represents influence and the ability to bring things under one’s influence. Its highest expression is not force. Venus influences through:
- attraction
- harmony
- relationship
- diplomacy
- persuasion
- appreciation
- desire
- cooperation
Therefore:
VASHITVA = THE ABILITY TO INFLUENCE WITHOUT HAVING TO FORCE. Mars makes things happen through action. Venus makes things move through attraction and harmony. That is a more refined form of influence.
THE COMPLETE ASHT SIDDHI’S
Look back for a moment, my friends. These eight movements are not random powers. Together they train the human instrument. The eight Siddhis therefore create a complete development of the human instrument: The eight Siddhis develop the human being from within.
They teach:
HUMILITY → EXPANSION → LIGHTNESS → STABILITY → ACCESS → EXECUTION → SELF-MASTERY → INFLUENCE
At this point, the human instrument is ready. And this is where the Nava Nidhi begins.
PART II — SIDDHI’S TO NIDHI’S
We are now crossing a very important stage. Capability is only the beginning. The real question is what you do with the instrument once it has been developed.
The distinction between Siddhi and Nidhi is fundamental.
SIDDHI = CAPABILITY
NIDHI = RESOURCE
Siddhi asks:
“WHAT CAN I DO?”
Nidhi asks:
“WHAT CAN I CREATE, ACCESS, EXPERIENCE OR POSSESS BECAUSE OF WHAT I HAVE BECOME?”
The Siddhis develop the instrument. The Nidhis unfold the consequences of that development.
Therefore:
SIDDHI = BECOMING
NIDHI = MANIFESTING
The eight Siddhis prepare the human being. The nine Nidhis take that developed human being through the complete spectrum of the nine Grahas.
PART III — THE NAVA NIDHI
Now the journey opens outward. Think of the Nidhis not simply as prizes, but as what begins to unfold when inner capability becomes mature enough to create value in the world.
The nine Nidhis are:
- PADMA
- MAHAPADMA
- SHANKH
- MAKARA
- KACHCHHAPA
- MUKUNDA
- NANDA
- NILA
- KHARVA
They represent nine progressive forms of resource, abundance, experience and value.
1. PADMA — TRANSFORMATION AND PROSPERITY
Look at the lotus for a moment. It does not wait for perfect surroundings. Difficult circumstances do not automatically decide the quality of your future; what you grow from them matters.
PADMA is governed by JUPITER
The lotus emerges from dark and muddy water, yet blossoms above it. Padma therefore represents the transformation of difficult circumstances into growth and prosperity.
It is the movement: STRUGGLE → GROWTH → EMERGENCE → BLOSSOMING. Jupiter represents expansion, wisdom, knowledge and abundance. Therefore Padma begins the Nidhi journey with the principle:
“I CAN TRANSFORM MY CIRCUMSTANCES AND GROW.”
2. MAHAPADMA — AMPLIFICATION
Once you discover potential, do not leave it sitting quietly in the corner. Potential becomes meaningful when you develop it, practice it and give it energy.
MAHAPADMA is governed by MARS
Once potential exists, it must be activated. Mars brings energy, courage, initiative and execution. Therefore Mahapadma represents the multiplication and amplification of potential.
It is no longer merely: “I have something.” It becomes: “I CAN DEVELOP IT, ACT UPON IT AND MAKE IT GREATER.” Thus the Jupiterian expansion of Padma receives the Martian power of execution.
3. SHANKH — EXPRESSION AND RESONANCE
A thought locked inside you cannot help very many people. This is where your voice matters. Learn not only deeply, but also to express what you have learned clearly.
SHANKH is governed by MERCURY
Potential and achievement must eventually find expression. Shankh represents the ability of one’s capabilities to become expressed, communicated and transmitted.
Mercury provides:
- intelligence
- analysis
- discrimination
- articulation
- communication
- calculation
- negotiation
- adaptability
- transmission of knowledge
Therefore Shankh represents: “WHAT I HAVE DEVELOPED CAN NOW FIND EXPRESSION.” And because the Nidhis are cumulative, Shankh does not mean Mercury alone.
It means:
JUPITER → MARS → MERCURY
Knowledge and expansion combine with execution and then find intelligent expression.
4. MAKARA — STRATEGIC POWER
Working hard is valuable; knowing where to place that effort can multiply its effect.
MAKARA is governed by RAHU
At this stage, knowledge, capability and expression are present. The next question is: Can this capability operate at an extraordinary scale? Rahu introduces unconventional reach, strategy, ambition and the ability to move beyond established boundaries.
Therefore Makara represents strategic power and extraordinary reach. It teaches: “I CAN TAKE WHAT I HAVE CREATED BEYOND CONVENTIONAL LIMITS.”
Makara therefore contains:
JUPITER + MARS + MERCURY + RAHU
Expansion, execution, intelligence and unconventional reach now operate together.
5. KACHCHHAPA — RESTRAINT AND PRESERVATION
Gaining power is one achievement; learning how to hold it responsibly is a greater one.
KACHCHHAPA is governed by SATURN
Power without restraint becomes destructive. The tortoise provides the perfect symbol: when necessary, it withdraws into its shell and protects itself. After learning how to acquire and exercise power, the next lesson is to control, preserve and contain that power. Saturn provides:
- discipline
- boundaries
- patience
- responsibility
- preservation
- consequences
Therefore:
RAHU EXPANDS POWER. SATURN TEACHES HOW TO CONTAIN IT. Kachchhapa is where power becomes responsible.
THE THREE MOVEMENTS OF THE FIRST FIVE NIDHIS
The journey can now be divided into three major movements.
CREATION
PADMA → MAHAPADMA → SHANKHA
Create → expand → express
POWER
MAKARA → KACHCHHAPA
Acquire/exercise power → restrain and preserve power. This distinction is essential. The objective is not simply to become powerful. The objective is to become capable of carrying power responsibly.
6. MUKUNDA — FREEDOM
Now ask yourself a very personal question: what would you do differently if you no longer needed to prove yourself?
MUKUNDA is governed by MOON
Once power is controlled, something deeper becomes possible: FREEDOM. You no longer need to constantly prove your power. You become less dependent upon:
- insecurity
- fear
- external approval
- compulsive ambition
- unnecessary conflict
- circumstances
- dependence on external resources
This is Mukunda.
The Moon represents the inner psychological state. Therefore Mukunda represents: POWER MATURING INTO INNER FREEDOM.
The question changes from:
“WHAT CAN I ACHIEVE?” to “AM I FREE?”
7. NANDA — FULFILMENT
Dear friends, a meaningful life is not only about achievement and discipline. There must also be room for love, beauty, laughter, relationships and simple human joy.
NANDA is governed by VENUS
What happens when freedom has been achieved? You become free to live.
Nanda represents:
- happiness
- relationships
- creativity
- beauty
- family
- enjoyment
- peace
- fulfillment
Venus represents the experience and appreciation of value, beauty, relationship and pleasure.
Therefore:
MUKUNDA = FREEDOM FROM
NANDA = FREEDOM TO
This is an important transition. Freedom is not merely the absence of restriction. Freedom creates the possibility of genuine fulfillment.
8. NILA — EXCEPTIONAL VALUE
Your friend Nikhil would ask you to consider: what could you make so deep and refined that quantity no longer matters?
NILA is governed by KETU
After knowledge, achievement, resources, freedom and enjoyment have been experienced, another question arises: “WHAT LIES BENEATH ALL THIS?” This is where Ketu enters. Ketu represents:
- depth
- penetration
- specialization
- investigation
- hidden knowledge
- abstraction
- detachment
- essence
Nila therefore represents the movement from quantity to quality. The individual no longer seeks merely to acquire more. The objective becomes to create something exceptional:
- exceptional knowledge
- exceptional wisdom
- exceptional art
- exceptional ideas
- exceptional expertise
- exceptional character
- exceptional reputation
- exceptional intellectual value
Nila says:
NOT MORE. BETTER. This is refinement.
9. KHARVA — CONCENTRATED ESSENCE
We have traveled through expansion, achievement and experience, and now we arrive at essence. The deepest wisdom is often surprisingly simple because years of learning have been distilled into a few truths that you can actually live.
KHARVA is governed by SUN
The final Nidhi appears paradoxical. After a journey of expansion, accumulation, achievement and experience, the journey ends in concentration. Kharva represents the ability to contain enormous value within a concentrated form.
For example:
- A book can contain decades of knowledge.
- A single principle can contain years of experience.
- A seed can contain an entire tree.
- A small invention can transform millions of lives.
- A single wise decision can reflect years of learning.
Therefore:
KHARVA = ENORMOUS VALUE CONTAINED IN CONCENTRATED FORM. The Sun represents the center, identity, sovereignty, purpose and essential Self. Kharva therefore does not mean that the Sun is “small.” It means that after everything has been expanded, accumulated, experienced and penetrated, the entire journey is finally distilled into its essence.
The question becomes: “WHAT REMAINS AT THE CENTER?” The answer is: THE SELF. The Sun.
THE COMPLETE NAVA NIDHI JOURNEY
Read this sequence slowly, my friends. Don’t just memorize it. Feel the movement and ask: “Where am I in this journey, and what is the next lesson life is asking me to learn?”
The nine Nidhis therefore form a complete progression:
PADMA — JUPITER
I expand.
↓
MAHAPADMA — MARS
I act upon that expansion.
↓
SHANKHA — MERCURY
I understand, refine and communicate it.
↓
MAKARA — RAHU
I take it beyond conventional boundaries.
↓
KACHCHHAPA — SATURN
I discipline and preserve what I have created.
↓
MUKUNDA — MOON
I become internally free.
↓
NANDA — VENUS
I experience the joy and beauty of that freedom.
↓
NILA — KETU
I penetrate beneath the surface and discover depth.
↓
KHARVA — SUN
I distill everything into essence, identity and purpose.
THE CUMULATIVE SECRET OF THE NAVA NIDHI
This cumulative idea is worth underlining. We do not throw away yesterday’s learning when tomorrow arrives. Mature growth means carrying the wisdom of earlier stages into every new stage. This is one of the most important principles of the entire framework. EACH NIDHI INHERITS THE MASTERY OF ALL PREVIOUS NIDHIS AND ADDS ONE NEW PRINCIPLE.
Therefore, Shankh is not simply Mercury. It is:
JUPITER → MARS → MERCURY
Makara is:
JUPITER → MARS → MERCURY → RAHU
Kachchhapa is:
JUPITER → MARS → MERCURY → RAHU → SATURN
And the process continues until Kharva.
By the final Nidhi, the entire sequence has become:
JUPITER → MARS → MERCURY → RAHU → SATURN → MOON → VENUS → KETU → SUN
All nine Grahas have been traversed. Nothing is discarded. Every stage becomes the foundation for the next. This is why the Nidhi journey is not a collection of nine unrelated treasures. It is a cumulative development of human value.
THE NINE-GRAHA ARCHITECTURE
Dear friends, think of these Grahas as a teaching sequence, a way of remembering different human capacities and the order in which they can mature. The planetary progression can therefore be understood as:
- JUPITER — I EXPAND.
- MARS — I ACT.
- MERCURY — I UNDERSTAND AND COMMUNICATE.
- RAHU — I BREAK BOUNDARIES AND ACQUIRE EXTRAORDINARY REACH.
- SATURN — I LEARN RESTRAINT AND RESPONSIBILITY.
- MOON — I BECOME INTERNALLY FREE.
- VENUS — I EXPERIENCE AND APPRECIATE FULFILLMENT.
- KETU — I GO BEYOND SUPERFICIALITY AND PENETRATE THE ESSENCE.
- SUN — I ARRIVE AT THE SELF.
And the final movement is particularly profound:
MOON → VENUS → KETU → SUN
FREEDOM → FULFILLMENT → DEPTH → ESSENCE
Even after prosperity, achievement and pleasure, the journey is not complete. Eventually the human being asks: “What is actually essential?” That question takes the journey from Venus to Ketu. And Ketu takes it to the Sun.
ASHT SIDDHI AND NAVA NIDHI — THE COMPLETE MAP
At this point, stop and look at the whole map. My friend, this is not merely a list to admire. It is a mirror.
The complete framework can now be seen as one continuous journey.
ASHT SIDDHI — DEVELOP THE HUMAN INSTRUMENT
ANIMA — Control the ego
↓
MAHIMA — Expand beyond limitations
↓
LAGHIMA — Become psychologically light
↓
GARIMA — Carry responsibility
↓
PRAPTI — Gain access
↓
PRAKAMYA — Execute intention
↓
ISHITVA — Master yourself
↓
VASHITVA — Influence through harmony
THE HUMAN INSTRUMENT IS READY
↓
NAVA NIDHI — MANIFEST THE DEVELOPED POTENTIAL
PADMA — Transformation
↓
MAHAPADMA — Amplification
↓
SHANKHA — Expression
↓
MAKARA — Strategic power
↓
KACHCHHAPA — Restraint and preservation
↓
MUKUNDA — Freedom
↓
NANDA — Fulfilment
↓
NILA — Exceptional value
↓
KHARVA — Concentrated essence
This gives us the fundamental distinction:
SIDDHI = BECOMING
NIDHI = MANIFESTING
LORD HANUMAN — THE IDEAL HUMAN INSTRUMENT
This is where the teaching becomes deeply human. Perhaps you do not need to become someone completely different. Perhaps, like Lord Hanuman, you need to awaken a capability that is already present but has not yet been fully remembered or trusted. This entire framework finds its most powerful embodiment in Lord Hanuman. Lord Hanuman represents strength, intelligence, humility, courage, discipline, devotion, service and complete dedication to purpose.
One of the most meaningful episodes is the awakening of Lord Hanuman’s forgotten power. Shri Jambavan reminds Hanuman of the extraordinary capability that already exists within him. The deeper lesson is powerful: Great capability may already exist within a person, but it can remain dormant until consciousness, faith, discipline and purpose awaken it.
Lord Hanuman does not suddenly acquire a completely new nature. He remembers what was already within him. The crossing of the ocean then becomes a powerful symbol. An apparently impossible barrier stands before him. Fear and limitation belong to the ordinary state of consciousness. But once dormant capability is awakened and directed toward a higher purpose, the individual can cross barriers that previously appeared impossible.
This is the movement from:
POTENTIAL → AWAKENING → COURAGE → ACTION → TRANSCENDENCE
LORD HANUMAN AND BHAGWAN RAMA — THE HIGHEST LESSON
Please stay with this lesson for a little longer. Power becomes truly beautiful when it serves something higher than the ego. Capability gives us strength; purpose tells us where that strength belongs. There is an even deeper principle here. Lord Hanuman is extraordinarily powerful but still his greatness does not arise from power alone. His power is placed in the service of Rama, the higher purpose. This gives us one of the most important lessons of the entire framework:
- POWER WITHOUT PURPOSE BECOMES EGO.
- WEALTH WITHOUT WISDOM BECOMES ATTACHMENT.
- INTELLIGENCE WITHOUT CHARACTER BECOMES MANIPULATION.
- STRENGTH WITHOUT DISCIPLINE BECOMES DESTRUCTION.
But:
POWER + PURPOSE + HUMILITY + DISCIPLINE + DEVOTION = LORD HANUMAN.
This is why Lord Hanuman is not merely a symbol of extraordinary capability. He is the ideal instrument. Bhagwan Rama represents the higher purpose. Lord Hanuman represents the perfected capacity to serve that purpose. The highest form of power is therefore not the ability to dominate everything around you. It is the ability to possess enormous power while keeping the ego subordinate to a higher purpose.
THE ULTIMATE JOURNEY
And now, my dear friends, we come to the end, but not really the end. The real teaching begins when you close the page and carry one of these principles into your ordinary day. The complete Asht Siddhi–Nava Nidhi framework can therefore be understood as a journey of human evolution.
- First, the individual learns to master the self.
- Then comes expansion.
- Then adaptability and stability.
- Then access and execution.
- Then self-mastery and influence.
- Once the human instrument is developed, resources and possibilities begin to unfold.
- Potential transforms into prosperity.
- Prosperity expands.
- Expansion finds expression.
- Expression becomes power.
- Power is disciplined.
- Disciplined power produces freedom.
- Freedom produces fulfillment.
- Fulfillment leads to refinement.
- Refinement leads to depth.
- And depth finally leads to essence.
The journey therefore moves:
- FROM POTENTIAL TO CAPABILITY.
- FROM CAPABILITY TO POWER.
- FROM POWER TO FREEDOM.
- FROM FREEDOM TO FULFILLMENT.
- FROM FULFILLMENT TO DEPTH.
- FROM DEPTH TO ESSENCE.
And that is the deepest meaning of the entire framework. The goal is not merely to become powerful. The goal is to become capable enough to handle power, wise enough to use it, free enough not to be controlled by it, refined enough to create exceptional value, and conscious enough to return finally to what is essential. That is the journey from Asht Siddhi to Nava Nidhi. SIDDHI DEVELOPS THE INSTRUMENT. NIDHI MANIFESTS WHAT THAT DEVELOPED INSTRUMENT CAN CREATE, ACCESS AND EXPERIENCE. And ultimately: POWER MUST RETURN TO PURPOSE.
- From Lord Hanuman’s capability to Bhagwan Rama’s purpose.
- From expansion to restraint.
- From achievement to freedom.
- From fulfillment to depth.
And from the entire journey of the nine Grahas:
- BACK TO THE SUN.
- BACK TO THE CENTER.
- BACK TO ESSENCE.
- BACK TO THE SELF.
A FINAL WORD FROM YOUR FRIEND NIKHIL
Friends, if you have traveled with me this far, I want you to go back to the beginning for just a moment.
We started with a mysterious word: Kundalini. Then we removed some of the smoke surrounding it and looked at it through the simplest possible idea—energy that enables activity, creation, development and transformation. Then we asked: Do you have it? The answer was simple: yes, you are already using it. Then we asked a deeper question: What happens when that power is developed constructively? That brought us to the qualities through which human potential expresses itself. And then, as an extension of that same journey, we entered the Asht Siddhi and Nava Nidhi framework. The eight Siddhis, in the way we have explored them here, describe the development of the human instrument: humility, expansion, lightness, stability, access, execution, self-mastery and influence. The nine Nidhis then take that developed instrument through transformation, amplification, expression, strategic power, restraint, freedom, fulfillment, refinement and finally essence.
And this is why I want you to remember one sentence above everything else:
POWER MUST RETURN TO PURPOSE.
Lord Hanuman gives us the living image of this principle. Enormous capability, but no unnecessary ego. Extraordinary strength, but placed in service of Rama and a higher purpose. So, my dear friends, don’t finish this article by merely saying, “I understood Kundalini,” or “I understood Asht Siddhi and Nava Nidhi.”
Ask yourself something much more useful:
What am I doing with the power that I already have?
Am I using it to create or destroy?
Am I expanding while remaining humble?
Can I become light when I need to release, and heavy when responsibility demands it?
Can I act on my intentions?
Can I govern myself?
Can I influence without force?
Can I handle power responsibly?
Can I become free from the need to constantly prove myself?
Can I turn fulfillment into depth?
And finally, can all of my achievements return me to what is truly essential?
If this article makes you ask even one of these questions honestly, then your friend Nikhil has done what he came here to do.
The journey is not from mystery to more mystery. It is from confusion → understanding → capability → responsible power → freedom → depth → essence. And perhaps, my friends, that is where the real meaning of Kundalini Power begins.
